it has been quite some time since i click the "NEW POST" button...

sorry lah...i've been attacked by lazy bugs and also have to rush assignments and lab reports...

mondays are always organic chemistry assignment due date...mondays macroecon classes are always for us (siew lung, kim shun and i) to correct our assignments...*yea, i know the last minuteS*...i've been missing about 2 chapters of econs and i have to do self study now...ahhh...6 hours of classes some more...tiring...

tuesdays are nothing much on...just a class and for tennis...

wednesdays are classes from 8-12 starting with sheila...

thursdays are my free days... =)

fridays are my lovely days cz i get to do weird experiments!!! =)
the 1st experiment on organic chem was to extract essential oil from spices and the spice i used was cinnamon...ahh smells nice...and now i know why essential oils are damn freaking expensive...cz it takes hours and hours to get a few drop of it...we took 3 hours to get only 4 drops of oil...no joke...

tested with 2,4-DNPH and tollen's test (all positive) =D
the 2nd experiment was to get banana oil...due to ran out of gas...experiment was delayed to tomorrow...the 1st part of the experiment was to get ester which was made from carboxylic acids and alcohols by refluxing them..(sounds familiar?) yea we studied before in form 3...wasn't an easy task though...

organic classes are fun when freaky dude is in his mood...IF he is NOT in his mood...there goes us...his daily life analogies to apply on our organic chem were funny and easy for us to remember...
eg: if you and ur bf/gf are far apart(distance relationship), you all might not hang on together after a while, bonds can break easily...in other words, 2 atoms if the bond length are far they can be broken easily...

another example, if you are the mistress and you wan to kick the 1st wife away, how do you wan it to be? make her cry as much as she wants and leave or you wan her to keep coming back and fight with you? OF CZ CRY AND LEAVE RIGHT? in organic chem, if you want the leaving group to leave and substituted by the nucleophilic atoms, you need the leaving group to be strong and steady to leave and not coming back for the reverse reaction...

one more, (girls) if you all come for class sitting(3rd row) and suddenly a blardy handsome guy sitting in front(1st row), you girls must be very happy to see him instead of the whiteboard right? what if a baby elephant is sitting at the 2nd row? you girls will have no mood to listen to my class, cant eat, cant sleep...so when you want to see him, you will have to move sideways right? SO!! it applies on the eclipsed and staggered conformation in the cyclohexane...to be more stable, the plane have to be twisted a little bit...

i don't like going for her classes since the 1st class...i knew its going to be darn bored...so everytime i went in for the class i'll be day dreaming or sleeping (nice aircond), anyway the lecturer doesn't really like me cz i wasn't attentive...until today! i have a test and i just realized is a 20% test (matter of death and life)...i studied so freaking hard for it...i talked differently...=/ such as, "anyone wants some basidiomycetes soup and red algae?" basidiomycetes are mushroom and red algae is to wrap sushi...all kinds of weird terms i'm using...i talked so freaking weird...everyday just bacteria, archaea, protists, fungi and plants...just as well test is done AND the lecturer loves me cz i'm not the type who doesn't listen and cannot do well!!! =)

and yea, i'm homesick!! dad, believe me!! serious homesick...thought of the food here so expensive and so small portion and it doesn't taste nice...makes me feel like going home!! =(

the other day i was talking to dad...then he said "you better don't go to US, US so far, you are in nilai now and you still complain homesick, go US how? stay with me and accompany me in malaysia" then i replied "you don't let me go US then i'll be having love sick" LOL then i added " never mind la, i come back in summer 09" then dad said " wahhh, haven't go then wanna come back d...08 also haven pass talking about 09 d" hee...homesick + family sick + love sick ma.... =D

SO...i'm going home on sat...=) and i'm now going for lunch with our birthday princess...TEY SHIR PING!!! happy 20th birthday girl... XOXO

okay......i'm not sure this post is to be happy or sad...but a promise is still a promise...and i shall keep my promise for NOT CRYING when he leaves for good to the states...

went to the airport...after checking in and things were done...taking photos with friends and family...had some nuggets from mcd and time to go in...sounds pretty fast? indeed it was...i was hoping time goes slower...people normally say sad times go slow; happy times go fast...is this happy? XD

okay...i did keep my promise from then till now still going strong, keeping my tears or should i say collecting tears? haha...anyway i didn't cry in front of anybody neither did i cry alone in my room...cz if ever he caught me crying he'll be sad... =( but i didn't want to make him sad...so i smiled!!! wheeeee.... =)

anyway he's now in singapore having his lovely 7hrs transit...

good luck dude! all the best and safe journey...shall meet in msn and skype for next 8 months...i'll try to go outside kopitiam to webcam with you =)

happy new year

firstly i would want to wish my fellow blog readers (as if there are, hope there are) a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

i spent my new year's eve in cousin's place as i have to go back to college on new year day...
no countdowns in malls n streets but in cousin's room...sounds rather pathetic...

went back to college at 11-ish to get my room keys and move my stuff...but fogging between 530 and 930...what a great way celebrating new year...BUT! the stupid health ministry is just simply too stupid...they gave us a false alarm!!! we waited outside for 5 hrs just to avoid it and by the time we went back there were no fogging and we were told that only the blocks near the affected area needs to be fogged...i didn't do any cleaning until 10...by the time i get my bed done for sleep it was already 12+, on the phone for a while and i slept...BUT! i couldn't sleep...anxious for class? perhaps... LOL...

well, first day of class wasn't great...i had all 3 subjects that i initially enrolled...macro was just too hypnotizing while organic chem was simply too pressuring and physics was like freaking stress...reasons?!

macro lecturer was dull...we have not many non-jpa friends...the whole class was dominated by the kiasu.s JPA scholar...
organic chem as only seniors could enrol cz of the prerequisite so dr ang was not having problems from the bunch of monkeys...he happily started his class... =(
physics was a total kiasu class...students from that class keep asking questions and also the same...3 or 4 non jpa students turned up...

stressed...

BUT!!! i'm going to drop my physics and switched to bio2 following my initial plan!! luckily the timetable has changed...or i'll have to get trapped in my physics class...

*physics passing rate is much lower than failing rate and dropping rate for the past few semester...why aren't the management do something to the lecturers?*

anyway, sunday will be yon soon and alex lam's departing to US day... =(

i'm still not very used to my new room, new toilet and no room mate...still adapting...

and i'm still surviving...
