by the way, i've got my results from inti....not very good but i dont care! as long as i dont have to waste money and time to retake and can be transfered is good enough...

chia sin told me is out already...so i went to selleck quad(famous hostel block) comp lab to check my results...key in the id n password...heck!!! cant get in...clicked the forget password only realize i've changed before...cheh!!!

today's my 1st day of class...guess what!!

holy crap i woke up late!!!!

830am class i woke up at 8am!!! alarm rings at 7 but then...sighs....

fine!!

jumped out from bed, get changed, brushed my teeth, dumped my stuff into the bag, grab a cereal bar, filled my water n DASHED OUT OF HOUSE!!! is 8.15AM....

I AM SO DOOMED!!!

on the way to class, called my friend see where's classroom cz i didn't check...smart right? haha...finish the bar of cereal bar....ran as fast as possible!!!!

phew....

8.22am!!! i'm there just in time to sign in for class....i took only 7 minutes!!! cool?

my foot!!! just because this class is the nearest to my house!!!! i'm staying on 23rd st. and this freaking 830am class is on the 19th st., i'm just 4 streets away!!! if is hamilton hall or brace lab i think i would be dead meat!! these halls are like on the 16th st. if i'm not mistaken but these places are freaking far!!

anyway, i was on time for classes...not a big deal anymore....

went over to hamilton hall for quantitative analysis class which is the very far class...supposed to be 10 mins for us to dash over but today career oppt for biochem class finished 10 mins earlier...so we had more than enough time to walk there... =)

quantitative analysis wasn't a big thing i suppose....but my lecturer who came in a sweater and 3/4 shorts ended the class with a super long equantion....not that difficult but very troublesome..!!!

fine...all done....callibrate the stupid thing!!! did the 1st time wrong...redo!! calculate again...wrong again!!! bloody hell!!! so feel like strangling the lecturer...luckily i asked in another way and i dont have to redo for the third time!!! if not i shall bang hard on the wall and die there....now i suspect my 1st round was right...ahh nvm!!!

wasnt in time for the second part...will have to continue next week with the others as well...

worst of all!!! the freaking UNDERGRADUATE CHEMISTRY LAB has no stool...and my lab lasted for bout 3 hours....so pathetic...until a girl couldnt take it and sit on the floor to calculate the expt....UNIVERSITY IS COOL???? you judge...

dropped by university bookstore to pick up my lab manual for physics and LAB NOTEBOOKS for chem n physics...lab manual are given free in inti...so freaking nice!!!! lab note books are not any special books!!! they are those ordinary ones but to make money they printed in a special way and bind it differently...that's lab notebooks which i don't think is of any use of it other than writing down the results....

and the bill costs me 30++USD just for that few lab manuals n lab notebooks....

malaysia, please learn something from US on how to make money from students.... =)

08182008 is the day i have to leave home...

the day i have to be very very very independent

the day i will have to be ALL ALONE for 22++ hours to travel from penang-singapore-LA

unavoidable...

the day came...

shared a large coffee latte with dad and mum then i went in...

hugged dad n mum as tight as possible cz i really don't know when can i come back to malaysia to hug them again...each get a big kiss in their cheek... =)

holding back my tears and went pass the immigration...

walking alone to the gate where i need to board...tears were just at the brim of my eyelids...

finally boarded and depart from penang... =(

landed in singapore and quickly went online to report that i'm safe n sound...

stroll around changi and took the skytrain over to terminal 3...

and terminal 3 is the worst terminal i ever went!!! is not that i get lost or what...is the internet sucks to the maximum!!!

i cant get logged into meebo or ebuddy!!! =((( all i can is to communicate with gmail...and there is a 15 min limit....so crappy....isshh!!!!!

whatever it was...i managed to survived my 4.5hr transit and off again to LA...

slept 90% of the time in the plane...was such a bliss to pay back those sleep debts i owed from the beginning of august...so so so freaking tired....

just to wake up for meals and restroom breaks...didnt have much appetite to eat in the plane though they served quite good food...good as in 2 big scallops and 2 big shrimps for salad... =)

thought of home again...finally tears dropped...but luckily was dark in the plane...the lady beside me was sleeping soundly...noone knew... *blush*

wasnt sure that i filled in the right thing in my declaration form....went to ask the officers at the airport and they were really so helpful and kind...

passed my immigration smoothly...and was call a monkey by one of the cheeky officers cz of my paul frank shirt...how dare him!!! >.< in case u forget the paul frank scroll back to the top to check my cute little paul frank....

went to collect my overweighed bags and push the cart to the queue...and is so not fun to be in LA...many flights land in LA...and there were like hell so many people there!!!! managed to push my cart to join the queue but have to wait like ages to reach my turn to clear custom...but because of my honesty i was sent to a special lane...

so OMG!!!

the form said that anyone who brought in more than 10k USD have to declare...of cz the smart me went to declare!!! so i was sent to the special lane...i was so so so so freaking nervous and scared and worried that they will tax me!!! and i'll be so dead meat!!!!!!!

i explained to the officer and heck! it was only for cash...not bank draft!!! what the meowwwww

so he said turn right...and i stopped at the x ray machine thinking that my bags were needed to scan... suddenly he said...oh, you can just continue walking, you dont have to join the queue there...i was so so happy!! continue walking and walk to the next officer...he collected my declaration form...i was still blur and asked him IS THAT ALL?!?! and he said yes...so i walked out...kept seeing the sign "no return after this point"...i was a little scared that if i ever left smtg behind i couldnt go back to collect...but i've managed to believe in myself that i've got everything with me... =)

kept walking following the crowd and i started seeing many people waiting to pick people...and i saw my sister!!!!!!! OMG!!! that was absolute ecstatic moment!!! has been almost 3 years since i last seen her...gave her a big hug and cont walking to the car...she was so worried that i've encounter problems with the immigration and custom....cz she checked online that my plane will arrive half an hour earlier and LA is famous for its traffic jam...she had to wait there for 1 1/2 hr for me to come out from the plane....

sis brought me back to her house and have dinner with her housemates at a korean shop....the food was simply nice but the portion is so OMG! couldnt finish my food...

and yea, sis was so so so happy to get her mooncakes especially the ones with the snow skin...passed her everything she ordered from malaysia....had my shower and slept at 11...^^ never hear me mention sleeping at 11 for ages right??? see...i'm a good girl now....i sleep at 11!!! hohoho.....

went shopping with sis in ontario the next day....had dinner at a japanese restaurant with sam n patrick gege n sis.... =) again i cant finish that giant portion...packed everything in the back....

off to a smaller airport to omaha, nebraska... =) nothing much happened in phoenix while transit...reached omaha at around 5...get the car keys and off we go!!!

when we get nearer to uni, i was so happy...not only because i get to see him in person for 8 months but also i'm done with all the flying here and there...butt aches like hell!!!! reached his house 532!! =) the guys in the house helped me carrying my things from the car and we went for buffalo wings drumsticks....yon soon ordered 4 sticks for each of us, sis, him n i...AGAIN!!! i managed 3 only......holy mama.....

those poor africans are so gonna kill me!!!

put up a night at 532 but sis n i didnt get good sleep because josh's gf is celebrating her birthfay downstairs at the basement till late night...... =(((

the next day went to get my bank account, N card (student card) done and then went for my english placement test...

this freaking dumb en-ge-rishhhh test are made by dumb assholes for dumb assholes to take...in short, people like me....too dumb to waste time on this stupid paper..!!! freaking 3 1/2 hrs paper just to test on essay, 45 listening questions, 40 grammar questions, 40 vocabulary questions and 20 comprehension questions...by the end of the 40 vocabulary questions, i started swearing at the paper....serious....i just give a wild guess for all the comprehension questions...and guess what...i've passed...woohoo...i dont care!! =p

went for orientation....kinda cool....guess what...even new students have convocation...don't really understand what's the meaning of convocation yet but the convo made me feel so proud to be one of the HUSKERS!!! GO BIG RED!!! woohoo....there is no place like NEBRASKA!! felt so lucky dad n mum send me here.... =) heart them all...

get settled down....went for big red welcome yest...saw my advisor too.... =D

today is a monday!!! class are supposed to start but i've no class for this monday....

i shall go for class at 830 tmr =)

just cant wait!!!

btw this pathetic human being is stealing some other human being's wireless connection for the whole day.... =)

semester 1, everything was so blur...passed just like that...

semester 2, pass even faster....

semester 3, even faster....

semester 4, omg! seniors in the house d....

semester 5, old hacks in the house...and now being kicked out and off to US...

when the seniors were around, we went for supper practically every night...which made me put on weight... T.T

when the juniors came it was our turn to torture them, but heck!! it wasnt!!! it was a total opposite and we are the ones being bullied...

i'm so gonna miss my buddies...

1. michelle was kinda useless when she's young. she cried in the kindergarten after her mum dropped her. she'll cry until her mum picks her up after school is over. after few months, no changes in her, so her parents switched her to another kindergarten. =p

3. michelle started wearing specs since std 4. i hate wearing specs...but luckily there's contact lenses exist...but heck! my contact lenses are tonic lenses which costs me rm200+ for half a yr compare to the normal one is only rm100+
