denver- grand junction day 2

we woke up freaking early (at least to us, in our twenties) for breakfast at the hotel (one thing you go on vacation with adults, you have the "yummylicious" hotel breakfast =.=")

so we left the hotel at 9am to continue our shopping spree at the same outlet we went the day before...
it was a beautiful morning...
scenic mountainous colorado in the summer days...*love*

and since the outlet opens at 10am, we were there at 945am! *efficient* we went to fill our gas and buy water for the trip...

we went over to the outlet mall at 955am...find a shady spot and OFF WE GO!!!!!

but some stores are not open!!! TRUE TRAITS OF A SHOPAHOLIC! *shake heads*

we went for more shopping until 1-ish then we left for grand junction, colorado...
along the way to the next stop...that's what you will never see in NEBRASKA!

AND AND AND....

on our way to grand junction, there's another OUTLET MALL!!!!

O.M.G

at first we missed it...then i was like is that the outlet mall, the one you guys were talking about.... *i saw GUESS!*

then the big boss was like yes yes yes!!! that's the one...!!!

but we overpassed the exit so we had to exit at the next exit and TURN BACK!!!!

o.o!!!! shopped one round not enough....needs 2nd helping!!!!!!!! *ANOTHER TRAIT OF A SHOPAHOLIC*
and most stores were the same BUT the shopaholics still can get some stuff from there....
*Salute*

the mountain which used to be covered with snow...people rolling down this hill with their ski equipment/snowboards etc...
but now it's the green SKI MOUNTAIN!!!

i find this interesting...since the roads were at the mountains, they made this ramp for trucks that lose control so that they can go up this ramp if they couldnt brake in time! awesome, no?

trust me...it was really too mountainous until so the GPS shows you the brown mountains! instead of normal road... =DDD

some random rocky mountains... they are just wayyyyy too beautiful!
after all the uphills and downhills driving, we reached grand junction!!!

the big boss went to bed early so freaking early like 11pm!!!! so the kids stayed to watch FUTURAMA!!!! *go bender go bender* =DDD

then we slept at 12-ish?! cz we have to wake up early for the next day's breakfast and leave early again... =/

lincoln- denver day 1

this was an unexpected trip, i swear i didnt plan on going for this trip...

it happened because i was mentioning i wanted to go shopping and this kind soul tempted me because they were going to denver for shopping...HOW TO RESIST =(

so i joined my bosses for this trip...left lincoln at 9am! =)))

drove all the way to denver, chewing gums, talking, taking turns to accompany the driver for 8 hours... and we arrived at denver! hallelujah!!!

part of denver in colorado...on the way to the hotel...

we checked into the hotel and we had 3 hours of free time...so we drove 45 mins to the OUTLET MALL and shopped for an hour then drove back for dinner...

and within that short period of time, the super shopaholic spent $130++ in just ONE store... *round of applause*
then the other shopaholic spent $50++ in TWO stores...
yours truly, spent $30++ in TWO stores...
please tell me guys can be as shopaholic as girls... =DDD

we had a reservation at Rodizio at 7.30pm...
and thankfully the big boss made that reservation, or else we would have to wait till our necks are long... (that's the advantage of going on a trip with adults...everything will be taken care of)

yummylicious brazillian steak...it was awesomeeeeee =DDD
see how rare the meat could be!!!!

but it was freaking expensive...burnt a big hole in the pocket at the first day of the trip...ouch ouch ouch!!! but i enjoyed...i wouldnt mind going back there again...!!!

all happy and satisfied...

obviously...

i did not keep my promise to blog...

reason why...

i was introduced by my friend about Google voice call and so people around the world could call US or Canada numbers for FREE

yes, FREE...

and so my parents would call me every now and then especially right after my Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays food microbiology...i have an hour break, so usually 30-45 mins phone call... :)

so they are very updated and i have nothing else to blog unless you want to read bout my rants about exams and assignments...it's hell over so boring...

maybe some updates...
sept 4 exams
oct 6 exams
nov 4 exams
dec 6 exams..

bored?!
okok, i'll stop...

i kinda enjoy this semester *wow, i actually ENJOY my semester* usually i hate every semester...probably this semester i enrolled in all the subjects i'm really interested in..

i love my GEOGRAPHY class...for a visual learner like me, geography is a LOVE!
just got done touring Europe in 2 lectures and i'm so into Europe...furthermore, i have my free tutor for geography of Europe, i'm madly in love!
i cant wait to go tour all the 45 European countries!

food microbiology is okay since i'm from a microbiology lab, memorizing bacteria names and genus and class and phylum and kingdom, it's not as easy as peanuts but manageable...i love dr benson for his small little sense of humor...

physical chem...blehh...i will try to love it...

biochem 2 and lab...ngehhh...just another class and lab...

so why am i up at this time 230am?
i didnt study till this time though...
but just finished preparing my lunch box for tomorrow...since class is at 830am, and for the past 4 weeks, i obviously didnt have much time to prepare lunch after my shower and breakfast...so i did it now before i sleep...

so when i was preparing my sandwiches for my lunch box, i reminisced that what mum prepared for my lunch box to school...and i finally realized it wasnt an easy job...just as well, FORTUNATELY, everytime whatever mum prepares i just eat...of course, the variety of sandwiches from monday till friday...
imagine waking up at 5am to pan fried ham, bacon, sausages, luncheon meat, eggs and etc...i feel the PAIN now!
everyday i have to prepare my lunch and dinner boxes!
mannn, i wish i could employ a bloody kakak here just to cook for me and serve me like a spoiled princess!!!

so if my class were to be at 830am, i have to wake up at least at 730am to get my shower, prepare myself (includes the looking-into-the-mirror-for-10-mins time), prepare lunch box, take breakfast, check mails, print notes if i forgot to do it the night before...that's like in the speed of light-year! or else, i have to wake up even earlier!
;(
i think i've blogged bout this before but i'm gonna blog again cz i really wished i dont have to prepare lunch or my stomach can last from breakfast till dinner (which is impossible)

i can foresee the upcoming months when winter comes...

anyway, i'm just so glad dad married such a good wife or rather giving me such a good mum to rotate different sandwiches every single day when i was in school...i was totally WORRY FREE and STRESS FREE...
wtf..preparing own lunch is stressful! ahhahahaha

dear future husband, make sure you employ a maid for me in future when i have work, housework, kids and YOU!
=D

bom noite!
tchau tchau

i am ...

not dead...

just too busy....

....sleeping =)

anyway i'm still surviving from my 2 weeks of school...on a bright side, i'm 14 weeks away from my next holidays!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA

those old posts will be up soon i guess...

=)

so i've been reading those ugly news of the country lately....

and of course tonnes of comments and controversial issues brought up after the incidents

tell me how should i proudly promote my country to people from the world if we have all sorts of ugly news!
like what my friend said, "when Americans ask me about my country, i always say i only love it for the food, nothing more."
i'm sorry to say that but yea, i'm in his category...
and yea i'm sorry again if i would to cause MORE brain drain to the country but i guess that is what the people there wished for too anyway, right...??

so yea, this country is a democratic country, right? and if i'm not wrong, democracy includes the freedom of speech...

so here's the deal, if she had her chance of freedom of speech (even though it was a racist speech) but why when he had his "chance" to speak (claimed to be seditious, maybe not a chance anymore), he might get into deeper trouble

that's insane...seriously....

and now i wonder, if i post this post in US (LAND OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH, mind you) will i get kicked out from the country if i happen to go back, for touching sensitive issues from the country
if i do,
I'M SPEECHLESS...

i hope i still can re-enter the country...
=/

i would love to promote my country to the world if there's less of this ugly issues...
i wouldnt want people to know the country that is above this and below that country...

this will only happen when there are real changes...but i doubt

sometimes ...

friends come and go...
you choose who you want to be...
what type of people you want to hang out with...

i always wonder if i were to choose a uni which has less malaysians, will i survive?
i used to think that i will not be able to survive
so i ended up with the uni which has tonnes of malaysians....
no doubt, i felt at home...
speaking the same language and eating the food we used to eat back home...
it was indeed comfortable...

but
when time comes, things changes
you have to learn

so i've learned to let go...
mixing around with other people
learning other culture from other parts of the world

i felt good afterall...
i dont mean i hate the malaysians just that even though i can only communicate with the new bunch of friends in english, i felt comfortable and happy with them too!
probably they are just being protective over me....and of course i would love it, who doesnt? =D

so we spend a lot of time hanging out together, we usually hang out at bread and cup
but we also cook together!
chourico picante?
LOL
sorry, i'm no portuguese...
but this was brought back by ines all the way from portugal :)

christophe was busy preparing quiche!!! =DDD
ines was busy cleaning
sylvia was busy looking
and of cz the little one was busy taking photos

and of course not forgetting the alcohols
some red wine, some holland beer-heineken and some korean alcohol
=)

christophe, ines, sylvia

my portuguese "siblings" and the asian with no asian look (i was suspected to have some mixed blood from europe along the line, got or not worrrrr???)
since they are at my siblings age, so they are my new non-blood-related siblings!
love them to absolute bits!!!

i did not regret listening to my buddy's advice...
thanks buddy :)
