i am back =)

okay, i'm back since everyone is bugging me for new updates...sorry for the absence here... =D

i'm doing fine in uni here...all are good, noone bullies me except for the bus drivers who sometimes didnt wait for me and drove away, made me wait for the next bus...haha...nothing major though...

1st week in lincoln...

sister came along with me to lincoln and get me settled down...BIG thanks to jie for helping me much in settling down as quick as possible...and not forgetting the bunch of guys from 532 (the guys house number) to help me move my mattress and buy me my new table and chair...nothing much happen during orientation "week", should be day cz it was only on friday...on orientation day we had to register and check ourselves into the system and do some immigration stuff...and of cz convocation (not graduation) and picnic and tunnel walk (i didnt go though)

saturday was pretty boring though...sunday was big red welcome where all the clubs, societies, sororities,fraternities and etc came out to recruit new members...walked around with no sense of direction cz the campus is very big and i'm still new...went to apple bee's for dinner...i ordered a HALF PORTION salad only but i still couldnt finish it and packed it for the next day's lunch...sad case right...

1st week of school...
monday i was supposed to go for classes but i had some problems with my add/drop in my subjects and i had an appointment with my advisor at 330pm...so i can only get my subjects done by then...got my english placement test results which is good enough not to take intensive english...haha...marginal pass only! don't look high on me... =p in the end i end up walking from beadle center (19th street) to hamilton hall (chemistry) and brace lab (physics and astronomy) (12th street) to get enrolled into my elemetary physics (PHYS 141) and my quantitative chemical analysis lab (CHEM 221)...and rushed over to canfield administrative office to submit the add/drop paper work...hell troublesome...

tuesday woke up late! everyody knew this...830 class i woke up at 8...class is in beadle center and i'm in 23rd street...i took 7-8 minutes to dash over there...phew luckily wasn't late for it...

the next day i went into the wrong building looking for my class...is supposed to be brace lab and i went to ferguson hall (engineering building)...smart right...until a man told me i'm in the wrong building!! omg! so embarassing!!! after that english class is in andrew hall...the smart me thought i can remember where the building is so i didn't bring my map with me...guess what!! you didn't guess wrongly!! indeed i got lost...i was like OMG!!! where the heck am i now...called bf, no answer, called chia sin, no answer...i'm at burnett hall...where the hell is that!! walked n walked...luckily "andrew hall" sign board appear...phew....nothing much though...previous post mentioned a bit on lab class for chemistry d...

week 2...
nothing much happen already...i was getting the hang of it...know which bus stop to get to class faster...getting use to everything slowly...

went for an international student fellowship event on friday night at ron's place which i dont know where is that...i went with chia sin...had nasi lemak, rendang and nice food there prepared by the students from indonesia and malaysia i think...that night's theme was bout malaysia, my housemate presented that talk and was a little crappy though...haha...oops...no offence but...erm... =p knew matt (a teacher in a community college) from there and i told him bout the pizza story happened earlier on...ohh did i say pizza story? haha...

yea we actually almost burnt the whole kitchen down...smart us put the pizza on the cardboard into the oven to cook... XD pizza was not cook yet and the cardboard is burnt already...i dont have a baking tray or metal tray to put into oven...so i thought paper should be fine cz is not plastic...oopsss...no laughing please.... =p in the end matt gave me 2 baking trays so that i wont burn any more pizza...haha...

on saturday, i went to westfield with the bunch of guys...okay 5 guys and 1 girl...guess the outcome...girls are well known to be great shoppers but i can proof you wrong!!! guys are better shoppers!!! so omg!!! the guys can choose their clothes, shoes and stuff for hours...in the end i didnt get to buy anything except a back pack and sister's bday gift... =) happy that i got her something....hope she likes it though...

week 3
went for my ppd test, meet up with my mentor, and lots of stuff to do...homework and assignments coming in...got my ppd skin test reading and it was positive!! holy crap!!! i need to do a chest x-ray which is 57bucks...talking bout expensive stuff, nothing here is more expensive than BOOKS and MEDICINE...no joke...no wonder 90% of my BIOC101 class are entering medic school...went for a movie in downtown on friday with the bunch of guys again...oh wait with 2 girls....hee...

week 4 which is this week....
i crappily cut my left middle finger on sunday night while was preparing ginger egg soup for dinner...gosh!!! those blood flow like water tap!!! 2 tissue papers full of blood, 2 band aid flooded with blood...i cut my finger at 8pm...at 12am the wound is still bleeding!!! i was worried so i told sis bout it and she told me to hold upright and press hard on the wound...i did that and i thought it stopped so i went to bed at 1am...however, it was too pain and numb so i got up...it was already 2am...i peeped at my wound and gosh is still bleeding!! i was so scared and i had to call and woke bf up to tell him...i cried...next day i went to the health center after peeping at it again...it was still bleeding...the nurse washed my wound with some warm water and the wound stop bleeding!! what the hell!!! made me so scared...she gave me a whole stack of band aid and taught me how to take care of it...my finger is now healing...but i feel weird to have that stupid band aid there...is annoying...

the super deep cut...1st time cut my fingers while cooking...how sad...

you must not wet it...so i had to get a pair of gloves to wear it when i bathe...sad case!!!

catching up with the homework and stuff...kinda worn out lately...maybe i should get more rest this weekend...oh wait!! this weekend is walmart day...i'm gonna do some shopping in walmart...sam gege said, 1st rule in US is to LOVE WALMART... =)

oh ya i got my chest x ray results today and my lungs are normal...i'm in pink health like my stuff!! =)

oh yea, i'm partially employed to work in cather hall as dining service aide...since i havent get my social security number, i still cant go to work...but i'm still waiting for the reply from jeff (not jeffrey liew wan ming!)...he's looking for people to be lab research assistant for his project on plant something something...haha

still have no plans for christmas yet...either a white christmas which is maybe in lincoln, not going anywhere...probably kansas city...or else green christmas in LA...sadly not malaysia...haha
