i'm supposed to finish off my essay but this facebook thing made me want to blog so much...
ever since facebook exists in this very very very modern computer/internet era...
there's no such thing call generation gap anymore...or even communication breakdown...these terms can never exist anymore!!!
why???
my mum has a facebook account, my dad has a facebook account, my other 3 aunts all have a facebook account, my biochem advisor, ron from ISF...all of them are in the same generation aging from 53-56, except my biochem advisor, maybe?
all of them put their names like xxx lam, xxx ng etc....
would you think that they are my parents? maybe the one with xxx lam you will think is my relatives like cousins...
so now everybody in facebook is like peers (same age/generation)...how to define generation gap now??? they talk to you like your peers, they do what your acquaintances are doing....you wont know that these uncles and aunts are a generation older than us unless we call them dad, mum, uncle, aunt etc.....
everybody is so connected now...
you upload new photos to tell your friends the latest thing you are doing....you send wall posts to your friends to talk nonsense or keep in touch which sounds better...so? how do you define communication breakdown now???
even if you are very busy you will still be connected to others...just that maybe slow reply, upload photos not so frequently...but you are still in touch with all the folks in your account....!!!!
and heck...facebook is like a daily-must-visit-at-least-once page!!! who DOESN'T!!!!even my parents visit their facebook account almost daily....
conclusion: if you have any very very very personal stuff please dont put in the internet...WHY???
CZ THERE ARE LOT'S OF STALKERS OUT THERE!!!
and kudos to facebook director or whatever you are...facebook has brought many people together....
